Long Island Sports

Long Island offers a wide variety of state-of-the-art indoor and outdoor sports facilities. Some professional team that call Long Island home is the New York Islanders, the Long Island Nets, the New York Riptide and the Long Island Ducks!

New York Islanders

The New York Islanders are Long Island’s very own professional hockey team. The NHL team planted its roots on Long Island in 1972 where they built up their team roster and went on to win 4 Stanley Cups. The team currently calls UBS Arena their home!

New York Riptide

The New York Riptide were founded in 2019, and their inaugural season will be the 2019-20 NLL season. Playing out of Nassau Coliseum in Uniondale, New York, the Riptide are owned by GF Sports and Entertainment. They are part of the four-team East Division.

Long Island Nets

The Long Island Nets are an American professional basketball team in the NBA G League based in Uniondale, New York, and are affiliated with the Brooklyn Nets. The team plays its home games at the Nassau Veterans Memorial Coliseum in Nassau County, New York

Long Island Ducks

The Long Island Ducks are an American professional minor-league baseball team based on Long Island in Central Islip, New York. The Ducks compete in the North Division of the Atlantic League of Professional Baseball, an independent "partner league" of Major League Baseball.
