Freeport Recreation Center

Iceland
Location: 3345 Hillside Ave., New Hyde Park.
This rink is open all year round, particularly on Fridays to Sundays, holidays, and school vacation in December. They offer group lessons, hockey clinics, public sessions, figure skating, and hockey games.

Newbridge Arena
Located at 2600 Newbridge Rd., Bellmore. This year-round rink offers public sessions, skating lessons, youth hockey programs, and a police and fire league. The winter schedule runs through March 1 with various timings. Town of Hempstead Park residents pay $7 on weekdays and $9 on weekends for public sessions; nonresidents pay $9 on weekdays and $11 on weekends. Skate rental is $5.
